πŸ”₯ Pre-Season 103: Sprint Races to Finish

This engaging pre-season practice hones players' sprinting and 2 v 2 game skills through a dynamic, fast-paced drill. The session kicks off with a sprint relay, where players tag their teammates to race across the pitch. Once the second tag is made, it triggers an intense 2 v 2 game. The team that completes the relay first gains possession from the coach and attacks the goal, while the opposing team defends and counters toward two mini goals. After each attack, players jog back to their stations to repeat the drill, alternating sides to experience attacking the large and smaller goals. This continuous cycle not only builds speed and endurance but also sharpens players' quick decision-making and teamwork under pressure. πŸ”₯

This pre-season practice focuses on players passing combinations, SAQ and ability to switch play. Split into two areas that run simultaneously, players will work through the various stations and will end the sequence with a winger delivering for two attackers in the box. After the attack finishes, players will move through the agility stations on the side of the area. Ensure players work at a high intensity throughout this practice, using the time at different stations to recover for their next attack. Time movements, deliver passes & crosses with quality and be clinical with finishing! πŸ’ͺ

It's time to work on a hugely important aspect of the game: Speed and Endurance. In this pre-season practice, two players will race against each other through the circuit with the objective to maintain their intensity and enter the game area first. The first player inside the area starts with the ball in the 1 v 1 game and must look to use individual skill to beat the defender and finish in the mini goal. Teams must keep a tally of each time they finish and after 3 rounds we can see which team are the winners! 🀝

It's time to work on your players overall fitness and defensive work in this high press rondo practice! Working in teams of two, players will move through the SAQ station into a 5 v 2 Rondo where they must work together at a high intensity to win possession or force a mistake from the possession team. The players will then split and sprint out to the smaller 3 v 1 Rondo's on either side and press to win possession. Defenders must work as a unit to win possession and react quickly to sprint out after possession is won! 🫑

πŸ”₯ Pre-Season 94: Sprints, Recovery Runs and 2 v 2's

This pre-season practice develops sprint speed and 2 v 2 game skills, designed to sharpen both physical and tactical abilities. Players are divided into two pairs: attackers and defenders. On the coach's call, both pairs sprint forwardβ€”the attackers racing towards the ball and the defenders chasing them down.

As soon as they enter the game zone, a 2 v 2 attack is triggered. The attackers must make at least one pass before finishing, while defenders can counter-attack and score past the goalkeeper if they win possession.

After the attack ends, all players sprint to the corner cones and return to the starting position. Roles are swapped in the next round, ensuring a dynamic and challenging session that sharpens speed, teamwork, and game tactics.
