๐ŸŽ‰ Pre-Season 91: Possession, Agility and Endurance

This pre-season practice is designed to boost possession skills, agility, and endurance. The session is divided into three main areas:

  1. 6 V 2 Possession Game: Focus on maintaining control and strategic passing.

  2. Outside Agility Circuit: Enhance quickness and coordination.

  3. Goalkeeper Exercises: Improve shot-stopping and reaction times.

Players will work for 90 seconds in each area before switching roles, with a 30-60 second rest in between. In the possession game, the goal is for the team to complete 10 passes, allowing 2 players to break out and finish past the goalkeeper, while 1 defender attempts to recover. If the defenders win possession, they aim to score in any mini goal. After every 90-second set, defenders switch out with players in the agility circuit. After three sets, teams rotate roles, ensuring a comprehensive workout for everyone. This practice promises a high-energy, engaging session that will sharpen your team's skills and stamina!

๐Ÿ”ฅPre-Season 85: SAQ Circuit and Finishing!

Get your players ready for the season with this engaging SAQ circuit that focuses on passing and finishing. We set up by dividing the area into three zones: the central zone for agility exercises and the two outer zones for passing and finishing. Players will move through the circuit performing the agility exercises, combining together and finishing on one touch. Start with one side and, once players are comfortable, progress to working both sides simultaneously for added intensity and coordination. ๐Ÿ’ชโšฝ๏ธ

Engage your youth players with this exciting small-sided game designed to develop their passing weight and accuracy. We create two scoring zones (size adjusted for age group) and a 4 v 4 game in the central area. The objective is for the team in possession to create precise opportunities to pass the ball into the scoring zone. A goal is awarded if the ball stops within the zone. The game promotes teamwork, precision, and strategic passing, with the team scoring the most goals within the set time period emerging as the winner! ๐ŸŽ‰โšฝ๏ธ

Players will attack and defend in 1 v 1 scenarios looking to score goals to contribute to their teams overall score. The team with the most goals after all six attacks wins! We can progress this practice by introducing 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 attacks, changing the way players attack and defend the goal. This engaging practice not only sharpens attacking and defending skills but also emphasises quick transitions and intense competition.
