Next week is a tough week for my team. We play 3 games in 7 days: tomorrow, Wednesday and Saturday. I want to keep the training sessions high quality, but I am worried the players will be burnt out for the games. Any advice on how to proceed and what sessions I should focus on would be greatly appreciated. We are a senior women's team and we train Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

This session focuses on developing our Centre Backs ability to initiate the attack, taking place on Match Day -1. We begin the session with a technical practice, activating players passing and movement. Next, we have a pattern of play that requires our Centre Backs to be comfortable on the ball and to start/create attacks by stepping out of the back line and into more advanced areas on the pitch. To end off, we have a small sided game that develops our centre backs ability to find wide players and to deliver into the box to finish. 💪⚽️

🎉 Pass and Press Activation | Warm Up (WU-34)

It's time to activate your players passing and pressing with this simple warm up exercise. We have a central 4-yard square which players will pass between, playing on one touch, two touch and executing short 1-2 combinations. After passing across, players must sprint to press, forcing the player to take a good touch to avoid interceptions. We can increase the size of the square and work in the opposite direction to add variation to this simple but effective warm up. 🙌⚽️
