⚽️ Defending Against Overloads | 60-P5

Dive into an intense practice developing defensive organisation against attacking overloads. A pass into the striker triggers the action, with a 3 v 2 attacking overload taking place. The objective is for the defenders to work as a unit to win possession and play out into the mini goal, simulating playing out to the CDM. Attackers must use their numerical advantage to penetrate the defensive unit, looking to finish in either of the two mini goals. We have added two progressions to increase the challenge for players and change the dynamic of their attacking and defensive play. 💪⚽️

🎉 Stopping Penetration (CDM) | 89-P2

This practice enhances our CDM's proficiency in stopping penetrating passes and executing vital interceptions. We start by segmenting the field into three 5-yard zones and dividing players into two teams. 1 player, acting as the working player, positions themselves in front of mannequins. Coaches deliver passes with force, aiming for the mannequins. If the CDM successfully tackles or blocks, leading to a safe clearance, they earn 1 point. In case of gaining control, the CDM must dribble the ball out of play and return it to the coach. The team with the highest points at the end of the designated period or rounds emerges victorious. 🎉⚽️

🔥Defend the Zones | 60-P2

Let's challenge and refine our players' defensive capabilities and decision-making in possession with this targeted practice. In this 3 v 3 + 2 setup, the team in possession must combine with floaters to receive the ball in either the wide zones ( 1 Goal ) or the end zone ( 3 goals ). If the defenders win the ball, they become the possession team. Defenders need to be sharp, potentially having to sacrifice one goal to stop the opponent from getting 3! After the set period, the team with the most goals wins. 💪⚽️
