VEO FEEDBACK

Touchtight Community! I need your help. I’ve been coaching a women’s team for 18 months now. We play a 4231 - but we constantly struggle with playing out from the back. Our GK cannot kick long and we want to be a possession based team. We Veo every game and I do the analysis every week. In and out of possession.

I’m constantly seeing the same issues and errors. Lack of bravery to play into midfield, combined with poor passing ability. A midfield pivot that never seems to understand how and where to find space to help in the build. We do (on occasion) see some great build patterns. But they’re happening less and less and my Veo analysis is being taken on board less and less. Is there anyone out there who would mind taking a look at one or two of our games? Do you see the same as me? I’m seeing the wrong things? I’m getting dissaslutioned with it, as the team seem to be regressing.

We struggle when building through the phases. We’ve managed to understand how to play out, through CB’s, FB’s and CM combinations. Sometimes we’re even able tosnwtich out to opposite full back through midfield 🔥 but we really struggle with how to build play through the middle third and into the final third, and keep the ball here. We get to the half way line on build up play, and it always results in someone trying over hit a through ball that isn’t even on. How can we retain possssion in middle and final thirds, be patient with the ball.

I use a alot of your drills for my teams at u14 and our senior women’s team - we’re about to go into step 6 football. One thing I often struggle with is how to adapt the drills as the numbers I have pre-planned will fluctuate before the session, meaning I often have less. There have been some drills where you’ve added the bit extra, explaining how the drill could be adapted to suit specific numbers. Is it possible you could continue to add these to drills, i’e this drills set up for 11v11 but if you only have 16, 18 or even 20 players, here’s how to adapt. I find that extremely useful 👍 keep up the great work!

Do you have anything that works on players making dummy runs, midfield runners in behind, at angles etc
