Here's the twist: There are two assist zones on each end of the box that will score teams two goals if they provide the delivery from these areas. Attacking players must recognise when teammates are entering these zones, providing support through attacking runs into the box to ensure they have options when delivering. Switching the point of the attack is an important weapon that any team should have in their armoury. This wave practice focuses on developing this key aspect of the game. Teams will keep possession in the 4 v 2 Rondo before one player drops off to receive, and switches play across to the players in the opposite rondo. We can progress this practice by allowing teams to breakout and deliver a cross after a switch has been made, just as they would in a game scenario.💪
