🎉 Beat the Press | 22-P10

🚨Let's get this Phase 1 Week Up and Running!🚨

This practice focuses on phase 1 and develops teams ability to beat the press and play through the thirds. We begin in the 1st zone with a 5 v 5 +1, with the objective for the team in possession to play into the central zone where they have a 2 v 2 + 1 advantage. Once they penetrate, attackers must make runs in behind to receive and finish in either mini goal. Creating good passing angles, using line breaking passes and off the ball movement into space are key coaching points in this practice! 💪⚽️

All,

Looking to see if a filter can be added (unless I missed it) where you can choose the size of space you are working with for sessions?

⚽️ High Press in the Attacking Third | 25-P11

It's time to get your players pressing high up the field to improve their quality of chances to finish. The objective is for the Primary Coaching Team, Red, to press to regain after the Gold team has made their first forward pass. If the team wins the ball, they must either attack quickly to finish or recycle the ball in a more controlled attack. If the Gold team plays through the press, they must play forward to the attacking midfielder, 10, who can finish in either mini goal. Press as a unit, force the opposition into traps and exploit winning the ball high up the field! ⚽️🔥

It's time to develop your teams ability to be proactive and press high to win possession in this advanced lead practice. You will call out a random number from 1-6, indicating where the secondary coaching team must start their possession. The primary coaching team, Red, must react quickly to these calls and press at a high intensity to win possession high up on the field. Quality decision-making, working together as a cohesive unit and high levels of communication are key in this one! ⚽️🔥
