Daniel Regan biggest transition for me with this set up would be your player at the top of diamond, dropping in with your deep midfielder bottom of diamond to become a midfield block 2 when defending.

Would you have single defender with CDM in front and wide midfielders in the diamond drop in to defend as a back 3 becoming a 1321 I guess?
